Well, there are somewhere between 15,000 to 20,000 people that attend this event every month. It's a Koh Phangan Beach party like no other in the World. You may wish to book your stay at Sandy Bay in advance. Since the celebration takes place every month when the moon is full it is of course known as the Full Moon Party. International and Thai DJ's entertain the party. The DJ's play a great variety of music; techno, trance, goa, rock, classic rock, drum n' bass, reggae, Top 40 hits etc. on many different sound systems along Haad Rin beach. Haad Rin Beach is the center of the celebration and is only a few minutes away from Sandy Bay at Haad Yao Beach. If you need to take a break from dancing don't worry there are many small tables along the beach where you can sit down with your friends or meet new friends from all over the World.
